CertiPay Expands Its Operations in Downtown Winter Haven

Six/Ten has completed a lease deal to add additional space for CertiPay, a fast-growing, web-based payroll solutions company, on the third floor of the Six/Ten Plaza building at 199 Ave B, N.W. The new space will house CertiPay’s Accounting and Tax Departments.

CertiPay has been in the Winter Haven area since 2005, offering a wide array of comprehensive service packages providing industry-leading human resource solutions, web-based applications and payroll processing tools. The company is continually innovating and introducing new business initiatives, which also led to the decision to add the additional space.

CertiPay is representative of the high quality tenants that are taking advantage of the phenomenal telecom, utility and disaster recovery infrastructure offered in the Inland Fiber & Data Technology Park. The rebirth of the downtown district has also made the area attractive for large and small businesses alike.

Downtown Winter Haven's Central Tavern Receives Approval, Plans to Open in November

When bar and restaurant franchise owners DTWH, LLC were approached by Six/Ten to launch a new concept for the downtown area, they gladly accepted the task. The result of their work will be a new, upscale establishment called Central Tavern, which is expected to open by the end of November at 273 W. Central Avenue.

The bar will be non-smoking on the interior and have a historic motif, including photos of old Winter Haven. Although DTWH, LLC owns several restaurant franchises, including seven bar franchises throughout Polk County, they say Central Tavern will be unlike any of their other concepts.

“Central Tavern is a perfect addition to complement our work-live-play vision for Downtown Winter Haven and it should quickly become a favorite hangout among the locals,” said Joe Bogdahn, a Six/Ten Director. “The RainGarden apartments are filling up, and recent office leases are bringing more than 50 new folks downtown every day. Downtown Winter Haven is a happening place!”

The Early Learning Coalition of Polk County
Six/Ten, LLC proudly supports the Early Learning Coalition of Polk County and is happy to announce that the nonprofit agency has renewed its lease with the company at 203 Avenue A, N.W. in Downtown Winter Haven.

“Downtown Winter Haven has become a hub for living and working in Polk County, and the ELC is an essential part of that,” said Six/Ten President Kerry Wilson.

The Coalition’s Winter Haven office is a full-service location with trained staff dedicated to working with parents to determine any child care or related needs. The Early Learning Coalition of Polk County helps children enter school healthy, ready and eager for lifelong learning. The Winter Haven office houses the eligibility, client services and program quality departments. Staff members help parents determine child care and other needs, and they support child care providers on the east side of the county. The Coalition began operating in 1999 and expanded to Winter Haven in 2011.
