The Six/Ten DifferenceWe create a home for each business by resurrecting properties around our city, gutting the original structure and providing you with a clean slate. We have also built our structures from the ground up to meet tenants exact needs. Whether you are looking to spruce up your space with beautiful design or are in need of more office space and a conference room large enough to accommodate your whole team, our build to suit program is the stepping stone that brings your napkin sketch to life.

Peoples Furniture
347 W Central Avenue
347 W Central Avenue
Formerly the site of a furniture store that time forgot, it took many years of patient waiting to purchase this two story building. Located on a pivotal corner on Central Park, the old People’s Furniture building is now Central Park Square. Upon its purchase in 2012, Six/Ten immediately renovated the façade in order to rid the downtown of an unattractive building. Upstairs, office suites and co-working space offer broad views of Central Park, and are provided with the highest degree of digital connectivity.

Six/Ten took a former A&P grocery store and transformed it into a striking 32,000 square foot building that sits in the middle of IF&D Park, utilizing parking resources for its services that would not be otherwise available on weekends and in the evening. In 2015, Six/Ten finished the construction of Heartland Community Church, entering into a long-term lease with that congregation (the largest in Winter Haven). Heartland contains a huge stage, and state-of-the art audio and video systems, and brings thousands of people into the downtown area each week.

Grove Roots
302 3rd St SW
302 3rd St SW
In 2015, Six/Ten worked with a young entrepreneur to transform a neglected garage into Winter Haven’s first craft brewery. The former citrus trailer repair shop, which sat abandoned for many years, made the perfect blank slate for a brewery inspired by Winter Haven’s rich citrus legacy. Initially occupying 6,000 sq/ft, Grove Roots opened in 2016 and immediately improved the vibe of the area and, as a result, expanded the boundary of what was considered “downtown.” Clearly fulfilling a community desire for a hometown brewery, Grove Roots experienced early success and quickly needed more space. In 2017, Six/Ten helped Grove Roots expand into the north half of the building to make room for a new canning line, a larger cooler, and a 3,000 sq/ft “Packing House” event space. The family-friendly design of Grove Roots has helped to make it the premier spot for kicking back with friends and family after a long workday or to celebrate a special occasion.

Pennoni

401 3rd St SW
After acquiring the former Red Lobster property in 2016, Six/Ten planned to demolish the restaurant and erect new apartments. However, during the predevelopment stage, Six/Ten discovered the building’s structure and shape had been preserved throughout the years and was a candidate for redevelopment. After being stripped down to its concrete shell, the framework was outfitted with a new exterior facade. It now houses Pennoni, a multidisciplinary engineering, science, and design consulting firm, and has become one of the newest locations contributing to the economic growth and downtown bustle of Winter Haven.
